As we continue to create an IT organization to support an independent company, we are pleased to announce the following:
Mike Henry has accepted the Director-IT-Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) role reporting to Terry Aders, Elanco IT Sr Director. Mike will be responsible for defining, implementing, and operating our global infrastructure and related services. This role is responsible for Infrastructure and Platform technical operations, ensuring core service infrastructure health, lifecycle management of the server and network environment, and Cloud Products Services & Platform offerings for Application services. Mike will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer to establish and manage the strategic vision of the team, leading the efforts to deliver speed and agility for the organization and improve the availability and reliability of systems that align with Elanco’s strategic platform and infrastructure initiatives.
In his past roles, Mike was the IT Director, Cirrus Emerging Technologies within the Lilly GIS IT group responsible for Application services, including cloud platforms such as Force.com and Heroku and the Enterprise DevOps Toolchain. Prior to that, Mike was the Global Head, Elanco Digital within our Commercial IT team. Mike joined Elanco through the Novartis acquisition where he held various roles in both infrastructure, platforms, and commercial IT teams.
Matt Bull has accepted the Chief Technology Officer role reporting to Terry Aders, Elanco IT Sr Director. Matt will define, embed and maintain the IT architecture vision through the creation of a strategy that supports the corporate objectives. He will be accountable for our Enterprise Architecture and work with our Functional Architects to identify opportunities to position new technologies that yield a competitive advantage. Matt will bring a sharp focus on innovation and external engagement, while driving a clear investment pipeline that supports a dynamically-evolving, highly-competitive market in the animal health environment.
In his previous roles, Matt was part of the Enterprise IT Architecture Core Team at Lilly, accountable for technology architecture. He was also the Lead Architect for Global IT. Prior to that, Matt severed as the Lead Architect for Cirrus Emerging Technologies and Global Commercial Operations. Finally, he has held technical leadership roles across Internet Services, Networking and supporting Research as part of the regulatory sustainability program.
Mike and Matt will work closely together to manage the our enterprise architecture vision, lead the team efforts to deliver speed and agility for the organization, and improve the availability and reliability of systems that align with Elanco’s strategic business initiatives. They will transition into their new roles over the next month.
