Zoom Accounts are Now Available!

ETS are happy to announce that we are now offering Zoom Hosting licenses. Whilst Microsoft Teams will be the default option for video conferencing, we have a limited number of Zoom Host Licenses available to anyone in Elanco IT, and to some of our business partners on a case-by-case basis.

Zoom is an enterprise video conferencing tool which allows you to hold online meetings from laptops or mobile devices.? Your license will allow you to host up to 200 people in a meeting for unlimited minutes. Zoom allows you to make video calls, share your screen, whiteboard ideas and ask questions/polls in a meeting. You can even split your participants up into breakout rooms to run virtual workshops and training.  There’s also an Outlook plug in, to help you schedule your meetings as you would with Skype or Teams.

Zoom is designed to be used natively. Unlike with Skype, where to get a stable connection you might need to dial into a call from a phone as well as join the meeting online, Zoom allows you to connect via the internet only. You can connect either through your browser, or through the desktop or mobile app (The app gives a far richer experience in terms of features). One important point to note, is that we haven’t provisioned a large volume of SIP Cloud connectors (meaning there is limited support for Polycom, Cisco or similar devices) just yet. We’re keen to see how much demand we have for this need before we spend money on these licenses, especially based on our new meeting room designs (coming soon!).

Zoom hosting accounts can be provisioned to employees in all countries except Argentina, Tunisia, Costa Rica, Morocco, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey (These are coming soon). Once you have a host license you can invite anyone in any country, in Elanco or outside to a Zoom meeting, they don’t need to have a hosting license to join.?

In future asking for a Zoom license will be a request in our shiny new Service Catalogue, but until then you can find out more and request an account using the following form.
