Global SAP S/4 Project Update
06.13.19 | Message from Ben Hall
Can you believe it’s June? Time flies when you’re re-imagining and redesigning for the future! I’m Ben Hall the IT Leader for our Global SAP Program. So, we started “The Ben Blog” to make sure we keep you updated in the midst of all the activity and excitement related to the SAP S/4 Program.
As many of you know, the SAP S/4 Program is a global ERP implementation and the program will Go-live in the Q4 2020. We will be using this blog to give general updates, let everyone know about key decisions, and allow folks to tell us about team success stories.
As our first project update, we will remind you that as of April 26th, 2019 we completed the “prepare” phase, which included the development of the project plan, meeting cadence, timeline and identification of the project roles and responsibilities. Now we’re in the “explore” phase, which focuses on design of both the global template and localization pieces of the solution. We will continue having design workshops for global design until the end of July. On June 11th, we kicked off the explore localization round to begin to drive visibility to our in-region workshops in August (LACQUA), September (EMEA), and October (APAC).
There is a significant overlap of activities…. it is certainly a hectic time and important that we all stay focused and informed. In upcoming blogs, we’ll share some work stream highlights from the global explore phase.
As this is the first of these communications, we want to make sure everyone associated with the SAP S/4 Program is included… so please click on this link to access the team roster - feel free to modify and update the entries - as a community, we own this information… so please take a moment to check it out.
There is much to be proud of as a team, and we know everyone is working hard. Please stay focused on managing to the standard SAP system as much as possible and stay focused on timelines and deliverables… we have aggressive objectives to achieve as a team… and each of us are accountable to the program and each other to meet those objectives.
