Global SAP S/4HANA Project Update
SAP Town Hall
Each month the Elanco SAP Project Leadership Team hosts an SAP Town Hall where we highlight the progress of the project, discuss topics that align with our overall timeline, and answer questions from participants. This past month we had the pleasure of hosting Fadi Debes, our corporate controller and head of the Elanco Solutions Centers, who focused on how impressed he was with what everyone accomplished in the past year and encouraged everyone to take time over the holidays to relax and recharge with family and friends.
The next SAP Town Hall is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11 from 8:15 – 9:00 AM, Eastern Time. If you do not have the invite and wish to be added, please email the SAP OCM Team at bear_gabrielle@network.elanco.com or landis_evan@network.elanco.com
Process Design Documents and Change Impacts
The IBM Business Leads are documenting the future state for each functional area in two ways:
- Process Design Documents (PDDs) illustrate a step-by-step, detailed process flow of how the process will work going forward.
- Change Impacts describe at a high level how things will work after go-live vs. how they work today.
It’s important to understand changes to people, process, and technology as well as the complexity of the change, the frequency of the activity, who it impacts, etc.
PDDs and change impacts are critical pieces of our effort as we develop communications and training. We leverage these to articulate what we need to communicate, to whom, and how. For example, change impacts that are complex might require several communications and hands-on training. Changes that are less complex may require fewer communications and a quick reference guide rather than face-to-face training.
Change Management Awareness Survey
The week of December 9, your SAP Change Leader will ask you to complete an SAP Awareness Survey. The purpose of the survey is to gauge the end user’s awareness of the SAP Project, validate that they know who their SAP Change Leader is, and confirm that they are familiar with the SAP cutover timeline. The survey is also a key tool that helps the SAP Change Management Team assess where we can improve communications across the project.
We promise the survey will take less than 3 minutes to complete. Your participation is essential to help us understand where we can do better!
New Project Team Location Update
Last month we informed you that the SAP Project Team will relocate to a new office two miles down State Road on Muskegon Drive. The estimated move in date is now December 2, 2019.
