SAP Project Update
The project team has worked hard in 2019 - from designing global processes and conducting localization sessions to agile training and sprint planning, PDD development, change impact validation, and much more. It has been a busy year.
In 2020, we will continue building and configuration for the integrated ERP system. We finished Sprint 1 in December, and Sprint 2 will take us into January. We plan to demonstrate progress from the sprints at an upcoming SAP Town Hall. In early 2020, we will also be focused on planning, production, and development environments as well as testing.
Elanco Solutions Center Update
There has been good progress with establishing the Elanco Solutions Centers. A temporary Warsaw office opened in August, and the team will move to a final facility in April 2020. We are working on recruitment and local policies and procedures and expect over 250 employees in the Warsaw office.
The Kuala Lumpur office opened in October. As a satellite office, it will be a slightly smaller population with less than 100 people, but we are focused on recruitment and the facility is ready to accommodate people as we hire them.
We expect HR services to go live in Warsaw in Q4 2019 and Q1 2020 for Kuala Lumpur.
A Day in the Life – Manufacturing Site at Cutover
One week before Go Live, the sites will be very busy closing anything that is open in the current system, including purchase orders, process orders, and work orders. They have to finalize shipments, track to make sure procedures are valid at Go Live, communicate cutover activities and status, and find time to complete physical inventory and/or inventory verification, scrapping, and BPC execution.
One day after Go Live, the sites have to enter everything into the new system, including purchase order management, process orders from the black-out period, and new work and manufacturing orders. They will also be focused on troubleshooting issues.
Cutover Update
New Zealand will now Go Live with Australia in week two of Phase 1. UK and Ireland will Go Live at the same time in the first week of Phase 2. Denmark, Norway, and Sweden will Go Live together in the third week of Phase 2, and Spain and Portugal will also Go Live together in the third week of Phase 2. EEM China has also been added to the cutover sequence.
